The Lord went ahead of them. He guided them during the day with a pillar of cloud, and he provided light at night with a pillar of fire. This allowed them to travel by day or by night.And the Lord did not remove the pillar of cloud or pillar of fire from its place in front of the people. Exodus 13:21-22

Ashley is an independent Christian church. Our foundation is in the evangelical tradition but the people in our community have always come from a mixed background of Christian traditions, which we value. Our goal is ultimately trying to help each other to obey the two great commandments of Jesus Christ: to love God and to love our neighbour. We have a lay leadership team, informal and interactive services* and we value prayer, Bible study, service and worship. We believe in the supernatural works of God as well as God working through the mind, emotions and intellect. Our ethos is of inclusivity and acceptance and we encourage variety in our expression of spirituality. We meet on Sunday mornings* in the Fleetville area of St Albans. You are very welcome to join us.

* Covid-19 Information

Following the latest guidelines from the government and in line with other places of worship, we have taken the decision to cancel services at Ashley until further notice.

We appreciate that it will be a hard decision for some, but we feel that it is the wise thing to do in the circumstances to keep us all safe.  If you know of anyone who may not read this, please let them know or let us know so we can contact them.

We will be sending out regular emails to keep in touch and give some suggestions for reflections, readings, prayer and worship that we can do ‘together apart’. If you have a suggestion that you think would be suitable please let us know.

If you or people close to you need anything that you think the church can help with during the next weeks, please do get in touch. It is important at this time that we stay connected so don’t be afraid to write to, or call others even if you just want to have a chat about nothing!

May God bless you all and keep you safe

Ashley Leadership Team

Sundays at 10.00 am *
