What we Believe

images-heart-shape

We believe in living out our Christian faith as effectively as possible, having an impact on those who have not yet heard or experienced the great news about Jesus Christ.

We believe we should share the good news about Jesus, equip people in their faith journey and see them live out their faith in the world.

As Christians we believe: -

In God revealed as three persons: God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit.

That God is love and that He is holy. His name is sacred.

That God created the Earth and we are called to be stewards who care for all creation.

That we are made in His image although corrupted by evil, by which death and destruction have come into the world.

That God in Jesus lived as a human being and that during his time on earth Jesus announced the arrival of the Kingdom of God.

That it is only through the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross that evil and death are defeated, and believers are reconciled to God and receive eternal life as a gift of His grace to us.

That the Holy Spirit is at work in our lives and in the world, drawing people to God, to rethink and change, and empowering believers in their calling to follow Christ.

That the church, which is the body of Christ, is given life and gifts by the Spirit so that we can worship God, share his love, promote justice and proclaim the gospel.

In the power, trustworthiness and holiness of the Bible to guide and inspire us.

That through God’s perfect judgement, justice will be brought to the world and at that time human beings will be required to give an account of their lives.

That Jesus will return, and all creation will be restored to peace and perfection.

Planning your Visit

A Warm Hello

The following information is specifically for those planning a visit, so that you know, beforehand, what to expect on a Sunday morning.

Where and When

We meet at the Church Building (details here) for our Sunday Service starting at 10:00am. For your first visit, we recommend arriving 5-10 minutes early to ensure you get a parking space and find somewhere to sit before the service begins. When you arrive, you should be greeted by someone on our Welcome Team.

We serve tea and coffee after the service. All refreshments are free.

Accessibility: There is wheelchair access, and a sound loop for anyone who needs it. Please let one of the Welcome Team know on your arrival and they will help you to get set up. There is a disabled toilet in the main foyer.

Our Service

The main service begins at 10am with a warm welcome from one of our team members. Then follows a time of sung worship, led by our band. We typically sing several worship songs lasting approximately 30 minutes. Sometimes a person might pray out loud or read a small passage from the bible. Sometimes people share things that they believe God is saying to the whole church family. This might seem strange the first time you hear it but it’s all part of our connecting with God. We then share news and notices, usually about what’s going on in the life of the church. One of our leaders will then give a sermon that is bible based and that we can apply to our everyday life. We then finish with a final worship song. There is an opportunity to receive prayer at the end of the service.

What about my kids?

We do not currently have a programme for children on Sundays. We do, however, have a Baby & Toddler Group which meets on Thursdays.

Ashley Toddlers and Babies is open to all Mums, Dads and carers with their babies and pre-school children.
The group includes craft activities, ride-on-toys, puzzles, books, baby toys etc, ending with singing time. Please click here for more details.

Getting Connected

Small Groups

While Sundays are a great way to meet new people, it is often in smaller gatherings that you can really get to know someone. Being part of one of our small groups allows you to make new friends, share together and support each other. We have a variety of groups that meet throughout the week, some afternoons and some evenings.

Serving and Volunteering
